This group of (15) 4 x 10 x 3 inch cradle boards are meant to be active and in motion . As a child I would catch the beautiful green beetles and play with them . Typically a thread tied around a leg would let them fly in a circle for me. . These pieces can be seem in studio 225 they are migrating from one wall to the other .Acrylic on board.

Will O the Wisp (A)

Will O the Wisp (A)

Will O the Wisp (a) is acrylic on cradle board. I created two of the panels in tandem with each other . They are 36 x 48. I adore these pieces they are about simultaneous color. The title refers to the name for swamp gas that at night has a Neon like light during the summer months. These pieces are as ephemeral as their title.SOLD

In person with soft eyes lowered shifting left to right and back again you can experience the soft blue green after images that appear and disappear . They are in studio 225.

SOLD This group of seven cradle boards is my favorite grouping .It allows the subtle changes in the surface paint and the bridge from multiple points of view.

Jones Points Cradled Boards horizontal 4 x 76 x 3 $1475 each

Subdued color soft . I am thinking of the arch of the current Woodrow Wilson bridge that has a park under it that exposes the vast construction from close proximity. The artful structure arches over the Potomac River connecting Virginia to Maryland. A pleasant place to see the Potomac close up and walk to Jones Point Lighthouse. You will walk past the original boundary marker for the District of Columbia.

Nepenthe Gallery

Nepenthe Gallery is a fabulous place to see art . This is an example of the group of me work that was on display for an event in conjunction with the artist of Stone Bridge . 9/6/23

I have included it so that you can see a group of my work.

DONATED TO The Art League Patrons Show 2024

Creating is always a journey for me. I love this group and especially the challenge of creating the vertical sunflower with a group of horizontal cradles that are 4x60x3 . I worked the surface with water-soluble graphite, glazes of transparent acrylic and a repetitious mark .

Currently at Nepenthe Gallery 7918 Fort Hunt Road , Alexandria , VA 22308
